Frequently Asked Questions

Do you need to meet my dog prior to them utilizing your services?

For the safety of your dog and the other dogs in our care, we require a day of temperament testing for new clients.  This tells us more about your dog and helps us understand how to socialize them better.

What vaccines are required?

We require proof of current Rabies, Bordetella, Distemper/Parvo vaccinations.

Is my dog required to be spayed/neutered to attend daycare or boarding?

We require all dogs over six months old to be spayed or neutered before attending daycare or boarding.

How do you separate dogs into play groups?

Our playgroups are separated by size, temperament and energy levels.

Do you take dogs outside for potty breaks?

Because outdoor environments are not as safe as our controlled indoor space, we do not take dogs outside the facility for potty breaks.

What should I bring for my pup?

For boarding, please bring your pup's food with each meal portioned into separate ziplock bags. This helps us feed many dogs efficiently and ensures we comply with Illinois Animal Control regulations, which prohibit open or unsealed food in the facility. If your dog requires medication, bring only the amount needed for their stay—this minimizes risk and keeps things organized.

To avoid lost or damaged items, please leave all personal belongings—including bowls, toys, beds, blankets, and clothing—at home. We will provide bowls and beds, as well as blankets for your pup’s comfort.

Do you have someone overnight in the building with the dogs?

Our guests have quiet time to rest after we’ve closed for the day, and we do not have someone stay overnight. We have surveillance and alarm systems set in place for the safety of our guests.

Are the dogs supervised during playtime?

Our daycare attendants spend the entire day supervising and monitoring our furry guests to ensure everyone stays safe and has a great time.

Will my dog be crated?

If your dog is social and has passed our temperament test, they will participate in daycare playgroups, with breaks in crates as needed.

What are drop-off and pick-up times?

We’re open for daycare and boarding: Monday–Sunday, from 6am – 7pm.

We ask that daycare dogs arrive by 12pm. Our groups are settled by this time and later arrivals can disrupt the tone and energy of the group. Arriving by noon helps keep things calm and consistent for all dogs.

Late pickups have a 15-minute grace period. Any pups not picked up before 7:15 PM will be boarded for the evening at the standard fee of $55.

How do I book services? What is your cancellation policy?

You can book an appointment using our website, Gingr, or give us a call at (773) 440-0245. Cancellation should be done 24 hours in advance or only half of the fee will be refunded. The amount charged will go towards another booking.
